Romanian company Grup Servicii Petroliere plans to invest some USD 1.2 billion in buying vessels and drilling platforms, after buying three new ships this year.
This recent purchase brought the GSP fleet to 13 ships, the largest such private fleet in the Black Sea. So far, in the 10 years since it has been active, the company invested some EUR 10 billion.
Four new ships will be delivered for GSP in 2015 for some USD 70 million each, along with a USD 600 million drilling platform.
The company will start operations in Western Africa next year, and is currently under negotiations with two large worldwide operators in this respect.
