Romanian software developer supports Macedonian customs authority in EU pre- accession process
Romanian company Siveco is to provide the Republic of Macedonia with the technology required to meet the EU's demands for national border controls. Siveco Romania has announced that it will develop, in cooperation with Bull Romania, the "Integrated Tariff Environment - ITE" necessary for the Customs Authority of the Republic of Macedonia to comply with the requirements of the European Commission as part of a project that is to end in 2014.
This project is included in the National Program for transition assistance and institution building designed for candidate countries in the EU pre-accession stage and it aims to ensure the compatibility and interoperability of the Macedonian Customs Authority’s IT systems with those of the EU.
”Through the ITE project developed by our specialists for the Customs Authority of the Republic of Macedonia, we ensure the consistent application of community policies so that companies have a clear picture of the steps they must take with merchandise imports or exports”, stated Dan Tuhar, eCustoms Line of Business Manager, Siveco Romania.
The Macedonian Customs Authority is the third beneficiary of Siveco's eCustoms solution, after its Romanian and Turkish counterparts.
