Romanian song of the week: “Tomorrow” by Electric Brother (with the voice of Lizzy Parks)

26 May 2011

After we recommended you a song that had a powerful and danceable beat that was just right for clubbing in last week's entry for the Romanian Song column, we dug up a down-tempo song perfect for a lazy week-end spent at home. This week's song, found by our connaiseur Alex Camburu, is a mix of Romanian composition and a beautiful foreign voice.

The song is called “Tomorrow” and is performed by Electric Brother and Lizzy Parks. This is the first out of three singles released by Electric Brother from his forthcoming album “Pe pamant” (“On the Ground”). The other two are “Zabola” and “Hand in hand (Trough Bucharest)”, which you can listen here.

Electric Brother, by his real name Cristian Stefanescu (in picture), is a jazz musician, producer and DJ from Bucharest, Romania. During his career, Electric Brother was a part of several bands like Aievea (Actually), which won him the award for best jazz band of the year 2000 from the Romanian Broadcasting Society. He also wrote several soundtracks for movies like “Marfa si Banii” (“The Goods and The Money”) and “Furia” (“Fury”).

Lizzy Parks is a English jazz singer. After recording with several artists she released her debut album in 2005 called “Watching Space”.
