When we started researching for this week's Romanian song, we had just one tune in mind, but we ended up adding a second one, played by the same Romanian artists: Grasu XXL and Guess Who. The latter is an artist that seems to have gained popularity. You might have heard his song 'Tot mai sus' (we also wrote about it here).

The first song featured this week, called 'Lala Song', is a recent discovery here at Romania-Insider.com, and is the product of another Romanian artist: Grasu XXL (Gras means Fat in Romanian).

'Lala Song' has a simple beat, yet a catchy one. It is not the first song played by Grasu XXL together with Guess Who. They've also worked together on  'Azi NU', our second choice for the week. You can listen to both of them below.

Grasu XXL is a Romanian hip-hop singer by the real name Dragos Nichifor. He launched his debut album in 2006. His next album will be called UNU.

Guess Who – or Laurentiu Mocanu – also plays hip-hop. His music has gained increasing popularity since 2009. He shares the record label- Okapi Sound - with Grasu XXL, as they are two of the founders of this label.
