Romanian songs of the week: 'Young at heart' and 'Say hello' by Fractures
We stumbled on this new Romanian band called Fractures on Facebook, while searching for some music inspiration – thanks to the guys at decat o Revista, who invited this band to one of their events.
Calling themselves an indie, pop and post-punk band, Fractures bring a clean sound, feel good music. The song 'Say Hello' gives that upbeat happy feeling, while 'Young at heart' sounds even better and has a certain innocence to it. The sound of both songs shows that Romanian bands are picking up more and more Western European influences, to the point where they could easily be mistaken for artists from abroad. Listen to both of them below.
The band - Liviu Iancu — vox/keys, Mihai Preotu — guitar/vox, Dragos Dulea — drums and Cristian Drimba — bass/vox – formed in 2008 and their first release was in 2011. We hope to be hearing more of them soon - the first songs sound promising.
