Romanian spices producer Supremia buys land plot in Alba to expand production

Romanian food ingredients producer Supremia group, owned by Mihaela and Levente Bara, has acquired 30 hectares of land in Alba county and plans to produce spices and vegetables on the site.

With more than 1,400 active clients in Romania, as well as in Europe, Supremia Group invested in and opened its EUR 9 million headquarters in Alba Iulia in early 2011.

The company was created in 2000, fully based on local capital.

The group offers blends, custom food ingredients blends, natural spices imported from all over the world, auxiliary ingredients, natural and artificial casings, and selected wood chips for the food industry.

Among its largest clients are Heidi, Aldis, Albalact, DR. Oetker and Pambac. The group's turnover was of EUR 31 million last year, and about 15 percent was covered by exports.
