Romanian startup for fishing fans gets money from business angel
Romanian startup Fishpointer, which has developed an interactive app to identify and rate fishing areas, has received a financing of EUR 180,000 from local business angel Razvan Capatina, reports local Startupcafe.ro.
The investor is part of the community TechAngels Romania and owns the project Business Results.
Fishpointer combines interactive electronic maps and social tools, and aims to enable users to record data about their captures, generate personal statistics, and socialize after fishing experiences. The project was developed by Romanians George Dragne and Andrei Tomita. In the testing period, about 2,200 fishing locations were introduced on Romania’s map by about 8,000 registered members.
The investment will help the project move to the second development stage. Starting this year, the app will have new functionalities and will be available in multi-language versions for Web systems, Android, and iOS.
