Romanian tax inspectors check over 800 companies in Q1
Inspectors of the Tax Authority ANAF checked 880 companies and drew up 885 criminal complaints in the first quarter of 2015.
The damage they found is estimated at some EUR 588.5 million, whereas the precautionary measures imposed on companies amounted to some EUR 198 million.
Compared to last year, the number of criminal complaints issued by ANAF increased by 38% while the number of precautionary measures more than doubled - up 119%.
The penalties applied in 2014 amounted to EUR 5.4 million, a growth of 15.9% over 2013.
