Romanian taxpayers will be able to pay taxes by card
Romania’s Public Finance Ministry has signed the agreement that allows the State Treasury to take in electronic payments with the MasterCard and Maestro cards.
This will allow the taxpayers to pay state and local taxes online, without being charged other fees.
The state will use European funds to implement the online payment system, and to expand the State Treasury’s internet banking services.
Taxpayers will be able to pay online taxes for the social insurance budget, taxes to the national, and local budget as well as taxes managed by other public institutions.
