A team of four students from the Banatean National College in Timisoara, Western Romania, won the second place at the Zero Robotics International Space Station (ISS) programming challenge, organized by NASA and the MIT.

Two teams from Timisoara participated in the final of the international competition, which was organized on January 11-12, and the four-member team from the Banatean National College won the second place, reports local Mediafax. They competed against teams from around the world.

Zero Robotics is a robotics programming competition where the robots are satellites inside the International Space Station (ISS). The competition starts online, where teams compete to solve an annual challenge guided by mentors. After several phases of virtual competition, finalists are selected to compete in a live championship aboard the ISS. An astronaut conducts the championship competition, with a live broadcast.
