Romanian telecom group RCS&RDS owner to list on Bucharest Stock Exchange

Digi Communications N.V., one of the leading providers of telecommunication services in Romania and Hungary, announced on Tuesday its intention to launch an initial public offering (IPO) on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Digi Communications owns RCS&RDS, the biggest broadband internet and cable TV provider in Romania.

The listing is expected to take place in May this year, with the company planning to list at least 25% of its shares, “assuming that the over-allotment option of 10% of the shares occurs immediately after admission.”

Digi’s listing will be brokered by Citigroup and Deutsche Bank as joint global coordinators, together with BT Capital Partners, BRD – Groupe Société Générale, Société Générale, Raiffeisen Bank, Wood & Company Financial Services as joint bookrunners.

It is a huge step in this unique approach of the Romanian capital market, which, after the efforts taken to modernize the market, becomes he most dynamic stock exchange in Central and Eastern Europe," the Bucharest Stock Exchange said in a statement issued after Digi’s announcement.

Digi Communications N.V. is a company registered in the Netherlands via which local businessman Zoltan Teszari controls his biggest business – telecom company RCS&RDS.

Last year, Digi’s operations in Romania generated revenues of EUR 612.7 million (or 72.7% of the company’s total revenues).
