Romanian Terapia Ranbaxy to pay shareholders EUR 45 mln in dividends for three years

Romania’s largest generic pharmaceutical company Terapia Ranbaxy, the local subsidiary of Ranbaxy Laboratories, will pay its shareholders a total dividend of RON 205 million (over EUR 45 million).

This represents the total amounts unpaid to the shareholders for 2011, 2012 and 2013, according to Mediafax, quoted by local daily Ziarul Financiar.

According to a statement of the Central Depositary, “the issuer will pay the shareholders, through the national service launched by the Central Depository, the dividends for 2013, together with unpaid dividends for 2012 and 2011”.

Ranbaxy Laboratories acquired Terapia in 2006. The company produces a wide range of medicines and drugs in its manufacturing facility in Cluj.
