Tourism agency Eximtur, owned by Romanian entrepreneur Lucia Morariu, has become the partner for Romania of the business travel global network Uniglobe Travel International.

Eximtur Business, one of the agency’s four divisions, which is specialized in business trips, saw an increase of 16% in its turnover last year. The department generates 69% of the company’s sales, which totaled EUR 47 million in 2016. It is made up of 35 specialized consultants serving 120 corporate clients, who carry out their activities in the four centers located in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, and Sibiu.

Eximtur was founded in 1993 and has 28 own and franchised agencies in 19 cities in Romania. The company’s activity is organized into four divisions: business travel, events, incoming, and tourism school. The agency had 156 employees at the end of 2016.

Uniglobe Travel International, which is based in Vancouver, operates in over 60 countries and has annual sales of USD 5 billion.
