The need to restructure Romanian state-owned airline Tarom is imminent, said Transport Minister Ioan Rus.

The historical losses of Tarom went down, but the company's management "is not the best choice", according to Rus, reports local news agency Agerpres. The financial results at end-2014 will trigger the Ministry of Transport's decision on the company's future, Rus said.

Tarom’s revenues in the first nine months of the year were up by 5% compared to the same period last year and are expected to go up by 6% by the end of the year, according to Ministry of Transport estimates. The company is recording losses.
