Local travel agency As Travel will provide the corporate tourism services for oil & gas group OMV Petrom, after winning an auction organized in August, reports local Profit.ro.

Previously, the company Perfect Tour won this contract in September 2012 and has been in charge of the project in the last three years. Between 2003 and 2012, OMV Petrom had worked with another tour operator called Happy Tour.

When Perfect Tour won the contract in 2012, it was estimated at EUR 10 million per year and considered the biggest contract in the tourism sector. However, the amount has decreased starting this year, according to market sources.

About ten travel agencies submitted bids at the auction organized in August. The winner As Travel is not part of the top 10 largest tour operators in Romania.
