The grand prize of the Romanian Lottery’s Loto 6/49 game was won on Sunday, December 21, by a Romanian who played the lucky ticket in an agency in Constanta.

The Romanian won over RON 43.81 million (some EUR 9.8 million) with a ticket of just RON 19.3 (EUR 4.3). He has 90 days to pick up his prize. The winner will get only EUR 7.35 million as 25% of the winnings go to the state.

The big lottery prize for the first category was last won on February 2, 2014, when it was of about RON 3.45 million (over EUR 765,000).
