Romanian woman living in Italy wins Romania's Master Chef competition
A Romanian woman who has been living in Italy recently won the second edition of the show MasterChef in Romania. Aida Parascan, 31, won the EUR 50,000 prize of the cooking show-competition. After several years of working in Italy, Aida Parascan, who comes from Buzau county, came back to Romania especially to attend the cooking competition.
As with the first edition of the show, the name of the winner appeared in the media before the show was broadcast on TV, because of the time difference between filming and broadcasting.
Mother of three, Aida said she plans to return to Romania, continue her studies and launch her cooking career. Parascan, who did not finish high school for lack of money, said it was the first time in her life when she managed to become number one using her own strength, and that she was happy to show everyone that a woman can win.
Master Chef is a show broadcast by ProTV, which has been reaching record ratings with each edition of the show. The final, broadcast on Tuesday, May 28, was watched by 3 million Romanians.
