Romanians concluded over 890,000 real estate transactions at national level last year, up by 8% compared to 2014. It was the peak of the last eight years.

Most real estate deals were concluded in Bucharest, namely over 83,000, followed by the Ilfov county (57,000), and Timis county (44,000), reports local Capital.ro.

The number of mortgages and privileges recorded in the national land register totaled some 185,400, compared to 151,000 in 2014. Bucharest saw the most mortgages and privileges, with some 32,000, followed by the Ilfov county, with 24,400, and Cluj county, with 9,900.
