Romanians get to test Google Glass for free until June
Romanians can test the new Google Glass for free in QuickMobile shops in five cities, Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj, Iasi and Baia Mare, retailer QuickMobile announced. Testing is available every day from May 8 to June 8, between 4 PM and 6 PM.
In no other European country is Google Glass available for testing officially, according to QuickMobile. Google Glass is a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display that is being developed by Google.
the device can connect to the Internet or to the user’s smartphone, and can be used for reading news, taking pictures, navigating Google Maps and other applications. The gadget can also be controlled using voice commands.
Google Glass hasn’t been officially launched for the general public and is available only for a selected few Google clients. The exact moment when Google Glass will be launched hasn't been announced, but rumour has it that it may happen at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2015. The proce tag may be USD 1,500, according to QuickMobile.
