Romanians celebrate Saint Mary on August 15, this also being a free day for workers in the country.

This year, most of the Romanian tourists plan to spend this mini-break in the country or places near their homes, having an average budget of some EUR 250, according to Cristina Basarab, brand manager at Eximtur travel agency, reports local Agerpres.

Those living in the southern part of Romania, especially in Bucharest, will go to the Romanian and Bulgarian seaside in this mini-break, while those living in the western part of the country will choose city-breaks in Budapest, Vienna or Prague.

The mountain resorts located in Prahova Valley are also among the favorite destinations in this period.
