Romanian spend some RON 16 – or some EUR 3.6 – on average for drugs against the cold, and prefer to buy a single product, according to Monica Faltiska, wellness category activation manager with GSK Consumer Healthcare Romania, quoted by Wall-Street.ro.

In total, 17.8 million anti-flu drugs sold in Romania in the last 12 months, making a market niche of some EUR 70 million.

Most Romanians prefer to take pills, rather than box powders, but Romanians are expected to like the latter option more and more in the future. GSK ranks sixth in Romania, according to Cegedim, with a 4.4% market share.
