Romanians spend more in local outlet shopping center
The number of visitors, as well as the average value of purchases made by a customer of the outlet shopping center Fashion House Group in Bucharest, have increased in the last years.
The average value of purchases more than doubled, from EUR 34 in 2009 to EUR 90 last year. This value represents about 11% of the net average income of the outlet's customers.
The percentage of clients that visit the outlet at least once a month increased to 59%, double compared to 2009.
In the first three quarters of 2015, 10 new tenants opened new stores in the Fashion House outlet store within West Park Retail, occupying circa 1,000 sqm. The outlet center is now 89% leased, but based on existing discussions, several other international brands are expected to join the list of tenants by the end of the year.
Fashion House has a gross leasable area of 20,300 sqm and is part of West Park project belonging to the Belgian company Liebrecht & wooD. The project also includes the DIY store Hornbach, furniture retailer kika, and appliances store Domo.
