Romanians start booking holidays for next year’s summer season

29 September 2014

Travel agencies and hotels in Romania have already launched offers for the 2015 holidays at the seaside, with discounts of up to 50%, through the “Ultra-Early Bookings” program, according to a statement of Bibi Touring tourism agency, cited by local Mediafax.

According to the agency, Romanians already booked the first summer holidays at the seaside for 2015. To benefit from the 50% discounts, tourists must make the bookings by the end of this year.

“The launch of the Ultra-Early Bookings for the next summer season, now in September, is a first for the Romanian market. If in 2005, when the Early Bookings concept had just appeared, the first offers for that year’s summer were launched in February, today we are basically in a position of passing from one season to another without a break,” said Adrian Voican, general manager of Bibi Touring.

According to him, market developments in recent years confirm the upward trend in terms on Romanians’ confidence in spending on holidays in the country.

Romanian seaside welcomes 1.5 mln tourists this season, less than 100,000 foreigners.
