Romanians are still reluctant to making reservations and payments online for their holidays, even if they use Internet to research holiday destinations, according to HotelGuru.ro.

Only 28% choose to finalize their online reservation, while 39% prefer to make their reservation over the phone. They are reluctant to give their credit card data online, and prefer speaking to a real person over the phone.

Three quarters of Romanians trust online reservation websites to find info and read reviews about targeted accommodation units. A third of Romanians visit four or five such websites, while 11%, over 10 such sites. Only 3% visit one single site before making a choice.
