Romanian individuals will be able to pay by card all taxes managed by the Tax Administration, City Halls and other institutions, via the Treasury. Transaction fees will be supported by the state budget, without exceeding 0.3% of the transaction value.

“The State Treasury will be authorized as acceptor of payments by credit card and will provide this service to all public institutions, so that all individual taxpayers who hold cards belonging to a payment system that will allow the approval (Mastercard, VISA and others), to be able to pay via a single point all taxes managed by the Tax Administration ANAF, City Halls and other institutions,” according to a proposal included in a draft emergency ordinance of the Ministry of Finance, cited by local Mediafax.
