Romania’s 2016 budget for Erasmus+ amounts to over EUR 57 mln

Romania will get over EUR 57.7 million worth of funds this year through the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme for education, training, youth and sport. Within this program, Romanian students can study abroad for a period.

From the total budget the programme has in Romania, EUR 43.16 million are for mobility projects, EUR 13.83 million are destined for strategic partnership projects, and EUR  275,176 are for structured dialogue projects, reports local Mediafax.

The National Agency for Community Programmes in Education and Vocational Training (ANPCDEFP) manages Erasmus+ in Romania. The institution finances projects in the areas of school education, professional training, higher education, adult learning, and youth.

The youth projects can be submitted until February 2, April 26, and October 4 while the deadlines for school education, professional training, higher education, and adult learning projects are February 2 and March 31. The projects can be submitted online, on erasmusplus.ro.

Romania had a budget of over EUR 55.4 million last year for this program. The money was used to finance 709 projects.
