Romania’s agriculture could record best results in 10 years
Romania’s agriculture could record this year the best results in the last ten years, according to an analysis by Dekalb, a firm controlled by US group Monsanto.
The agriculture business in Romania could reach over EUR 5.4 billion this year, up by EUR 2.6 billion over the level in 2010. The growth could be due to the favorable weather, the increase in agricultural investments as well as the higher domestic consumption, reports local Hotnews.ro.
In 2014, local agriculture generated a total turnover of EUR 4.6 billion and last year the turnover is estimated to have reached EUR 5 billion last year.
The analysis is based on the local agriculture companies’ results.
