Romania’s Authority for Tourism shakes hands with Google

04 December 2015

Romania’s National Authority for Tourism (ANT) will conclude a partnership with Google, Facebook, and Youtube for promoting Romania on the internet.

Without paying any money, ANT will upload on Google images and movies about Romania, which were made with EU funds, said ANT president Anca Pavel-Nedea, reports local Mediafax.

The authorities already had a first meeting with Google representatives, and will have similar meetings with Facebook and Youtube representatives.

In addition to that, Pavel-Nedea said Russia is one of the markets with potential, which could bring tourists in Romania. ANT also wants to ask for the help of Romanians living abroad.

“Diaspora helps you generate tourists,” the ANT president added.
