Romania's car market sees 8.6% higher turnover in the first nine months
Romania’s turnover of the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles increased by 8.6% in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period of last year, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
The car sales segment went up by 17.0%, the turnover in the car maintenance and repair segment increased by 6.2%, and the spare parts and accessories for cars segment declined by 0.9%, compared to the first nine months of 2014.
The motorcycle segment, which includes sales, repairs and spare parts, went up by 16.6%. In September, the auto and motorcycle sector’s turnover went up by 10.9% compared to the same month of 2014.
