Romania's car market speeds up to 24% increase
Romania's auto market recorded a 24.1% year-on-year increase in the first 11 months of 2014, while the domestic car production fell to 363,905 vehicles, according to data from the Romanian Car Manufacturers and Importers Association (APIA), cited by Agerpres.
The national car production went down by 3.5% between January and November 2014, compared to the same period last year, 86.5% of the cars being produced by Dacia, namely 314,719 units. Ford produced 49,178 units in Romania (13.5%) in the first 11 months of this year.
The largest sale volumes were recorded by Dacia Duster (160,769 units), followed by Logan (73,652 units), Ford B-MAX (49,178 units), Dacia Sandero (42,006 units) and Dacia Logan MCV (38,292 units).
