Romania's Central bank wants to find electricity provider for three years
Romania’s National Bank (BNR) wants to buy electricity to power its central headquarters in Bucharest, as well as its other agencies in the country, for three years. The contract is estimated at EUR 2.6 million (VAT included), reports local Profit.ro.
Besides its headquarters, BNR has four regional offices in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, and Timisoara, and 16 territorial agencies in 16 counties.
Last year, BNR signed a similar contract but only for one year with the energy trader Elsaco Energy, which is based in Botosani and is part of the Elsaco group, controlled by four Romanian entrepreneurs. Elsaco Energy won the auction with an offer of RON 2.4 million (some EUR 540,000), after the Central Bank initially estimated the contract at RON 3.1 million (EUR 702,000).
