Romania’s Christian Liberal Alliance chooses its presidential candidate
The Christian Liberal Alliance (ACL) in Romania designated Klaus Iohannis, the president of the National Liberal Party (PNL) and the mayor of Sibiu, to run in the presidential elections to be organized in November this year, reports Mediafax. The other potential candidate of the alliance was former justice minister Catalin Predoiu, vice-president of PDL.
ACL is the electoral alliance formed by the National Liberal Party (PNL) and the Democrat Liberal Party (PDL) for the presidential elections.
Klaus Iohannis was elected president of PNL in late-June. National Liberal Party elects mayor of central Romanian city as new president.
