Romania's Competition Council sanctions three fuel traders with EUR 3.7 mln
Romania’s Competition Council has fined three companies active in fuel trading for concluding an anticompetitive deal. The fine amounts to EUR 3.7 million.
The companies include Tinmar Ind SA Bucuresti, Planoil SRL Bucuresti, and Planoil Industries SRL Bucuresti. Tinmar received the highest fine of EUR 3.3 million.
The three companies have fixed prices, discounts and mark-ups. They have also shared their customers and the distribution sources in the wholesale trade of gas and diesel on the Romanian market. The firms have admitted their guilt.
The Competition Council concluded 21 investigations last year, its highest number ever. The fines issued in 2015 amounted to EUR 53 million.
