Romania’s Constanta Port to be expanded and modernized with EUR 600 mln
Romania’s Constanta Port will be expanded and modernized with almost EUR 600 million. A first draft of the development plan is already available for public debate, reports local Digi24.
According to the master plan, the port will have a new passenger terminal and the basins and port channels will be cleaned. There will also be a terminal for cars in Constanta Sud Port.
The most expensive objective targets the construction of an artificial island in the port, with new terminals for cereals and containers, a project that can reach EUR 250 million, according to Digi24.
The project could be financed with European money, the port’s own funds and money from private investors.
