Romania's Dacia asks for EUR 10.5 mln state aid for X52 Logan model
Car maker Automobile Dacia, owned by French Renault, last year asked for a state aid of around EUR 1 0.5 million to develop the new generation of the Logan model, X52, which has been programmed for a 2012 launch. The company received a non-reimbursable EU funding of around EUR 4.7 million to start a new production line for Euro 5 engines.
Dacia has so far produced 1 million Logan cars in its factory in Mioveni, Romania. The Logan brand comes in six versions: Logan, Ambiance, Preferance, Laureate, Prestige and the special edition Black Line.
Automobile Dacia posted revenues of around EUR 2.7 billion last year, up 26.6 percent on the previous year. The Romanian factory produced 341,000 cars last year, up 15 percent on 2009.
