Romania’s Dacia car registrations in EU, down 8.2 percent in first seven months

Romanian car brand Dacia's registrations in the EU decreased by 8.2 percent in first seven months of this year, to 146,316 units compared to 159,424 units reported in the same period last year, according to European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). The number of registrations of cars produced by Renault, the group the Romanian Dacia is part of, also decreased by 11 percent in the first seven months of this year, while number of new car registrations for all brands  fell by 2.1 percent in the EU.

In the January-August period, the Romanian brand Dacia reported 8.9 percent fewer car registrations in the EU, to 161,975 units, compared to 177,883 units reported in the same period in 2010.
