The Romanian data and voice market will reach USD 4.2 billion in the next five years, according to telecommunication company Euroweb.

Revenues of telecommunication companies amounted to USD 3.7 billion in 2014.  However, the new products and services launched by operators will bring them a double-digit percentage increase in the next five years.

The growth in the number of smartphone users will be the main engine growth for data services.

Mobile telecommunication services will have in 2019 the biggest share in the companies’ revenues, amounting to over USD 3 billion. In 2014, these reached some USD 2.6 billion.

The fixed phone services will increase by USD 100 million in 2019, reaching USD 1.2 billion.
