Romania’s Emergency Situations Inspectorate to spend EUR 282 mln on 4,200 ambulances
Romania's General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) is to organise this month an auction for buying 4,200 ambulances.
The contract’s value is estimated at EUR 282.4 million, without VAT, for four years, reports local Profit.ro. Most of the vehicles, namely 1,740, will be 4x4.
IGSU was established in 2004 through the merger of the General Inspectorate of Military Firefighters and the Civil Protection Command. The General Inspectorate and the county structures are made up of 43 operational centers and 280 operative sub-units, with more than 3,500 technical means of intervention.
