Romania's Energy Ministry looks for private managers for three companies
The Energy Ministry wants to find private managers for three state-owned companies, namely the energy group Complexul Energetic Oltenia, oil transporter Oil Terminal Constanta, and the company that manages the Romanian state’s portfolio in the energy sector SAPE.
The joint venture of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Tax Advisors & Accountants and George Butunoiu Group is responsible of searching for people for these positions, the Ministry announced.
The state’s efforts to bring professional managers to state-owned enterprises, which started with an emergency ordinance in December 2011, hasn’t been very successful so far.
Laurentiu Ciurel, the former private manager of the Complexul Energetic Oltenia, was removed from office at the end of 2015 as he has been investigated in a criminal file that also involves the former PM Victor Ponta.
