Romania's Fanfara Ciocarlia signs music for new Ikea commercial in UK

Romanian band Fanfara Ciocarlia has signed the music of a commercial for a new Ikea campaign, "Happy to Bed", which was launched in the UK, during the show “The X Factor”. The campaign aims to provide bedroom as more than just a place to sleep, according to Brandrepublic.com.

The 60-second TV commercial called "Playfight" is centered around a couple fighting with pillows. The background sound is provided by the song "Asfalt Tango" of the band Fanfara Ciocarlia. Check out the Ikea commercial below.

Since 1996, Fanfara Ciocarlia has become a global phenomenon on the world music scene. Its unique sound, mysterious and technical skills of the performers made the band famous. In 2006, the band won the BBC Radio 3 Planet Award for European artists. Fanfara Ciocarlia combines the traditional Romanian, Gypsy, Bulgarian and Macedonian songs and dances.
