Romania's Finance Ministry wants to allot more money for state aid schemes
The Finance Ministry wants to increase the budget for the state support scheme which stimulates investments with a major impact in the economy from EUR 605 million to EUR 857 million.
The annual budget for the state support scheme would grow from EUR 100 million to EUR 143 million.
The aim of the state support scheme is to stimulate the creation of high technology plants for products with high value added. The financing is awarded only for investments of at least EUR 10 million.
Nine companies have received state financing so far, which were worth almost EUR 98 million. The nine companies are Bosch Rexroth, CER Cleaning Equipment, Leoni Wiring Systems Ro, EKR Elecktrokontact Romania, Sonaca Aerospace Transilvania, Automobile Dacia, Robert Bosch, Airbus Helicopters Industries, and Timken PWP.
