Report: Romania's generic drugs market to grow by 3.3% annually
The Romanian generic drugs market could increase by 3.3% annually during 2016-2021, compared to 3.5% in Hungary, 5% in Bulgaria, and 6% in Poland according to a study on generic drugs made by the research company PMR.
Romania is a market that hasn’t yet reached saturation in terms of generic medicines, according to the report, cited by local Ziarul Financiar.
However, the growth rate is constrained by recent regulations, such as the clawback tax, the drop in drug prices in 2015, and the way prices are calculated, reads the same report.
