This year's edition of the George Enescu festival in Romania, that was held between September 1 and 25, attracted 16,000 viewers to the over 100 concerts in various Romanian cities.

This 20th edition of the festival brought on stage names like Zubin Mehta, Denis Matsuev, Antonio Pappano, Dan Grigore, foreign orchestras like the Vienna Philharmonic, the French National Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic. Romanian artists and orchestras enchanted the audiences as well: the National Radio Orchestra, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cluj, Iasi, Timisoara, Arad, Sibiu, Targu Mures, Craiova Philharmonic orchestras and the National Opera Bucharest.
