Over 1.6 million Romanians have been watching the Olympic Games on the state TV channel TVR, with this peak in audience registered during the performance of gold winning Romanian Sandra Izbasa, who won the Olympic gold for her vault performance last week-end in London.

The women's gymnastics competition was one of the most watched competitions of the Olympics, with an average of 1.2 million viewers. An average of 660,000 Romanians also watched the marathon on Sunday (August 5 ).

Sandra Izbasa will also compete in the floor section of the Olympics of Tuesday (August 7 ), and Cătălina Ponor and Diana Bulimar will compete on the beam starting from 16:00, Romania time.

TVR has been broadcasting the Olympics live on its channels TVR 1, TVR 2, TVR 3 and TVR HD, as well as online on jo2012.tvr.ro.
