Romania's Government prepares state aid scheme for medium companies
Romania’s Government is working on a state aid scheme for medium companies that want to invest between EUR 1 million and EUR 5 million in developing their operations.
The total budget for this program will be over EUR 200 million until 2020, Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos said on Friday.
“It’s important that in the next period we not only draw foreign investment (…) but that we also create opportunities for the local capital,” Ciolos said.
The Government has been criticized that most state aid schemes have been directed at big companies, most of them foreign multinationals, and that medium local companies haven’t received similar opportunities.
