The preparations made in 2016 and the advanced stages of work on several construction sites “allow us to say that 2017 will be the best year for highways”, said Catalin Homor, the general manager of the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR), the former Romanian Highways and National Roads Company (CNADNR).

Homor also said that the snow removal program has several novelties, reports local Mediafax. The program covers five winters, and the contracts concluded so far cover both the work as well as the non-slip material.

He also said that it will not be possible anymore to attribute contracts in an “emergency” regime in regions that are not covered.
