Romania’s industrial output up 3.2% year-on-year in November 2011

Romania's industrial output grew year-to-year in November 2011, mostly due to the energy industry. Seasonally adjusted figures for industrial output in Romania increased by 3.2 percent in November 2011 compared to the same month in 2010, according to the Romania National Statistics Institute (INS). In October 2011, the increase was 4.8 percent.

By main industrial group, increases were recorded in the energy industry – up 9.3 percent, in the capital goods industry – up 8.2 percent, and in the intermediate goods industry – up 3.6 percent.

Compared to October 2011, the industrial output increased by 0.3 percent in November 2011.

In the first eleven months of this year, Romania’s industrial output increased by 6.6 percent, according to seasonally adjusted figures. Read the entire INS report here (in Romanian; PDF version).
