Romania's Ministry of Finance borrows EUR 125 mln at record low

The Ministry of Public Finance borrowed on Monday, January 26, EUR 126.5 million by reopening a bond issue for ten years.

The borrowing cost fell to a record low of 2.7%, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Banks subscribed offers worth EUR 334.8 million, nearly four times the amount in the loan plan for January.

The country launched the bond issue in January 2013 while the residual maturity of the titles sold on Monday is 8 years and 3 months.

The Ministry reopens today the bond issue through a further auction for EUR 13.3 million. This is the last borrowing round scheduled for January.
