The exhibit features some of the most valuable historical items in Romania, the highlight of which are Dacian gold objects and parts of the Pietroasele Treasure, also known as The hen with the golden chicken. The entire collection consists of over 1,000 objects gathered from museums all over the country. Some of the most precious items belong to Romania’s National History Museum in Bucharest and some have never been on display before.

The entire collection was insured for EUR 69 million, according to media reports, but some of the objects are priceless, one of a kind items.

The exhibit was on display at the History Museum in Bucharest between December 19, 2013, and April 23, 2014, and some 11,000 visitors already saw it. In Timisoara, the collection is now hosted by the Banat History Museum. After this, the collection will be displayed in Oradea.
