Romania's National Company for Road Investment names manager
Romania’s Government has appointed Valentin Robert Urlan as the general manager of the recently established National Company for Road Investment (CNIR), which should coordinate the country’s big infrastructure investments, reports local Economica.net.
Urlan, who has been involved in several infrastructure projects in Romania and abroad, also worked for Romania’s National Bank (BNR). His appointment has been confirmed by the Transport Ministry.
Transport minister Sorin Buse has appointed the new general manager as well as the board members and the state’s representatives in the General Shareholders' Assembly via a ministerial order. The selection was made through a recruitment process which lasted a month, during which dozens of applications were assessed.
Valentin Urlan is a civil engineer with 22 years of experience in developing several categories of EU projects.
